Unbroken, pgs. 1-80 Some events that do not describe a hero in Louie Zamperini in the novel Unbroken is when he was young he stole anything edible, and he also ran away often. Louie was a kid that snuck into games and was letting people get in for free. Louie started to drink at the age eight. Another thing Louie did was rob people he had stashes of food loot and even alcohol; he would spit spit balls around the class and his teacher would make him stand in the corner so he deflated his teacher's car tires. Usually hero’s have good grades always follow rules never do anything bad, but Louie was the complete opposite you would not expect anything good from a kid like him.
What do you think a hero looks like? In the novel, Freak The Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, it shows that heroes come in all shape and sizes. In the novel Max and Kevin are the main characters. Max’s father killed his mother so other kids gave Max a hard time and bullied him. Freak was also given a hard time in school because he was born with a health problem that causes the inside of his body to grow but not the outside of his body.
Commonly the protagonist of a story is the hero, showing the typical characteristics of bravery, strength, and ingenuity, while always undertaking dangerous tasks to help others. However, there are different kinds of heroes, who range in their attributes. An anti-hero has both good and bad qualities to their character and generally has moral flaws. The personality of anti-heroes is more of a villainous nature and is the character of a story that is more relatable. R.P. McMurphy from Ken Kesey’s One

There are Many Heroes In the book Outsiders for example Ponyboy,Darry, and Johnny. A Hero is someone that thinks about others, is nice, kind and cares for everyone. Today we have many heroes around us being a hero doesn't mean you have superpowers and can fly. You can be a hero just for standing up for a classmate. In the book Outsiders it shows that a normal person can be a hero in many ways.
12 Angry Men - Heros In the play 12 Angry Men, there is an ongoing trial happening from a boy being accused of murdering his father. Many people vote guilty opposed to only a couple voting non guilty. Juror No 8.
In the novel “The Outsiders” It’s hard trying to live in a world greasers against socs. I believe the author S.E Hinton wanted us to know to stay golden as long as you can. Meaning stay the way you are and don’t change for anyone. In my eyes a hero is a person that risks their lives or does something nice for you. Whether it’s small or big anyone can make a change in the word being a hero.
Christopher Reeve, a distinguished actor most memorable for his role as the legendary Superman, once stated his prominent idea of a hero as “an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” Likewise, Westley, arguably the hero of The Princess Bride clearly demonstrates the noble characteristics intricately described by Reeve, throughout the novel. Within the alluring fictional story, a stunningly gorgeous woman, known as Buttercup falls into a deep love for a farm boy, named Westley; however he supposedly “dies” leaving Buttercup in pure despair. Nonetheless, as her long journey towards princess begins, she is cruely kidnapped by a group of odd men, simply to ironically be rescued once again by her supposedly “dead” true love; regardless she is captured and is unwillingly married to Prince Humperdinck, only to be consecutively liberated by
Dorrigo stood at the side of the stage, hidden from the eager crowd. He knew that the crowd was anticipating his speech, a speech from a hero. As Dorrigo looked down to his hand written notes; most of what he had written were lies. What was a hero, Dorrigo did not know but everyone seemed to assume that he was one, but he knew that there were better men than him on the Line, yet he was the one in the spotlight. He was no hero; he was a failure by his and Australia’s society.
The main character in my story was Pocket, a rather clever fellow who dresses like a fool but in fact is much cleverer than that. In the story he acts like a fool would, than ends up showing his true colors, by tricking, deceiving, and outwitting his enemies. I found a certain part where he end up lying and blackmailing an entire room of a kingdoms rulers into thinking they were about to be destroyed by a new type of weapon that a fleet of ships were carrying. That, by the way is only one of many interesting tricks he decided to pull on the kingdom and his enemies, and he always had this strange attitude of always being positive, but also strangely heartbroken, sad or somewhat daft. I’m not quite sure if he meant to do all these things
Everyone has their own definition of a hero. Many people think of superheroes who fight for the good of humanity. Others think of great warriors in ancient Greece and Rome. While it's nice to know what heroes might look like, it's more important to understand what makes someone a hero. Odysseus is one of these important heroes whose actions should be explained.
After reading the novel, "Around the World in 80 Days", I could say that (Phileas) Fogg is the hero of the story. Though in some parts, it seemed like it was Passepartout or Aouda was a hero. So who is the real hero? Is Aouda the hero? Aouda did help in the story but, I do not belive that she could be the hero.
The Five heroes were really nice because they saved the prisoners. They didn’t want anything in return. They healed prisoners and took care of them. They also took really dangerous risks. They nursed prisoners back to health.
You may define a hero as someone with supernatural capabilities. Superman is a hero; he can fly, see through walls, and lift things with ease. You may define a hero as someone strong in your family that works as a firefighter or a police officer. The dictionary definition of a hero would be a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). A hero to me has two meanings.
