Tulsa Daily World: Friday, January 18th – Announcement from Chicago that Red Faber has signed a contract to pitch for the White Sox this season, indicates that Commy’s crew will be the favorites in the race for the American League flag, though in the Boston Red Sox, they will receive the sternest opposition. There is only one cloud to mar the joy of the west side rooters. Red is within the draft age, unmarried and has no dependents, though it is said he contributes to the support of relatives. Maybe if the draft officials will read the story of the world’s series in which Faber stole third base with Buck Weaver on the sack, they will exempt him. The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the very first fight of colonists against the British. The first shot of the battle was fired by the British according to the accounts of John Parker and Thomas Fessenden. As John Parke states, the first shot was fired by the British because they were colonists and they were not going to attack first unless they were fired upon first. John states that they fired at them and killed eight of their men. This account is reliable because it is an official testimony, he wouldn 't lie under oath.

Larry Hiibel was arrested and convicted in Nevada state court for failing to identify himself to a police officer who was investigating an assault. Some states including Nevada, has a law that requires a person to tell an officer his name if asked. Larry Hiibel challenged the conviction, claiming it violated his Fourth and Fifth Amendments, the right not to incriminate himself and to be free from unreasonable searches. The state intermediate court and Supreme Court rejected his argument in affirming the conviction. At first when I read this I think that this arrest and conviction violated Larry Hiibel Fourth and Fifth Amendment because he was arrested for the action of remaining silent but in a 5-to-4 opinion written by Justice Anthony Kennedy,

William Still was a huge part of the abolition movement and the Underground Railroad (UGRR). Some may have thought of him as a lawbreaker, but I see him as a hero. Still’s parents had four children in slavery, two boys and two girls. Then, Still’s dad bought his freedom.
Schindewolf plays an important role in my life, as it has helped me learn throughout these past two years with obstacles in its way I have been able to succeed. And be able not to be shy and meet new people, I think I am an excellent leader in this society as I put myself in other people's shoes ,and as I love to put smiles on people’s faces cheer them up when they are down to respect others and my elders and with people like this Schindewolf is a success. Putting yourself in other people’s shoes a major thing my parents have taught me. To know what would happen if someone had done that to me I ask myself two simple questions when I see people either disrespecting someone or doing something bad, I ask myself “How would i feel if someone did
In the documentary “Bowling for Columbine”, which is directed by Michael Moore, there is an abundance of fallacious arguments. From the most obvious Post Hoc fallacies demonstrated to strengthen the director’s argument, to the numerous fallacies committed by Moore himself, there is no shortage from which to choose. The fallacies that I have chosen to focus on are the Post Hoc used by Moore’s “opponents” and his own hasty generalizations and composition fallacies. The title of the film “Bowling for Columbine” is and ode to the fallacious reasoning of the gun proponents that Moore encounters throughout the film. Many of these figures cite the music of alternative rock singer Marilyn Manson as a driving force behind the Columbine school shooting,
Thanksgiving a time where people sit around the table and be thankful for the things they have. However, many people know of how it became a holiday, but people don’t know is who started this holiday. The man who had started Thanksgiving was named William Bradford; It started from his marriage ceremony in the New World where the (Johnson) Wampanoags Native Americans (Whitehurst and Ruffin 18) brought over turkeys and deer to feast on (Johnson).
