Hidden Through Unity Unity is an incredibly important principle in team projects. The movie Hidden Figures shows the theme of unity incredibly well. It really illustrates the theme that if you have a goal and do it unified you will succeed. I play sports pretty actively, my favorite being basketball, and any athlete will tell you that to achieve a goal you need to be unified. It is hard to accomplish any goal if you are divided. I love that this movie always shows this theme even if it's different goals. The nasa team needed unity to complete their goal. The movie starts off with Katherine's parents meeting with a school about sending her to an older school. The parents through the meeting tell the school that they can’t afford the school, but their community comes to their aid and helps pay for Katherine’s schooling. Unity helped Katherine’s family complete this goal. If the community had been split up then they wouldn't have paid for her schooling, and she wouldn't have gotten the education she needed and wouldn't work for NASA. This scene portrays quickly the idea of unity being required for a common goal. In every community there are people who don't like each other, but it didn't matter.
