The human trafficking operation is well thought out and planned by a group of organized crime members. These groups of individuals devise ways to recruit and transport men and women nationally and internationally with the intentions of making money by exploiting them. The characteristics of organized crime is what keeps these operations running, and with a hierarchical structure put in place everyone of the members know their role and what their duty is as part of the team. Trafficking often starts as a voluntary act with and with the plan of promises and manipulation the organized crime member force these individuals into a life of prostitution or slavery.
