With life it comes with many obstacles that you have to face. One person that I look up to that went through a lot of obstacles in her life if my mother. As a daughter, seeing my mother struggle on dealing with many things has changed my perspective in life. She was 18 years old pregnant when she had me, and dropped out of school. My father had three other girls. A few months after she gave birth, my mother and father took in my three sisters. A few years later, my mom had two more daughters. My mom struggled with six girls throughout her life trying to make sure we eat, we have a roof on top of our heads, and had clean clothes. When I was growing up, I noticed how much my mom struggled. I also noticed the difficulty of not finishing high school, not going to college, and how much my mom struggled through it all. As I’ve seen the obstacles she’s been through, she always tell me, “Go to college, don’t have kids until you enjoy your life”. Taking that into account, I am determined to get my high school diploma, go to college, graduate, enjoy my life, and get a good stable job. As I take in everything my mom told me, it has opened my eyes. I’ve learned to finish college, get a stable good working job, enjoy my life, then have a family. “Please do this for me, this is the one thing I ask for”. That made me think that I should work hard to be successful in life. Being successful and making my mom proud is motivation. I will work hard to graduate from college, and have a stable job. It’s a big thing on making my mom proud, to give her a good life, to take her out of the city we live in. Achieving these goals are a big part in my life. I will become her first daughter to go to college. To not only make my mom proud, but to have my sisters look up to
