Fitting In: High School Edition Blake Lively once said, “In High School, there are so many cliques. You’re never safe” (Lively). Whether teenagers like it or not, there are a lot of different types of cliques in high school. There are the populars, (a.k.a. the jocks and cheerleaders) the nerds, the party animals (they are usually the troublemakers), the misfits, and then finally, the floaters. High School is a very scary world and every high school student is forced to pick their path on their four-year journey. No matter what, people are going to make mistakes and have embarrassing stories. High school is place where the best and worst memories are made. High schoolers get to be young and carelessly free. They just have to be careful of who they trust.

The floaters are a huge mixture of everything. They get along with everyone. These people are the people pleasers of the school. The populars like them so, they get invited to the parties. The party animals are cool with them so, if they ever needed anything, they could go to them easily. The nerds love them because they have someone “normal” to talk to. Also, if one of the floaters needed help with homework, they know where to go. The good thing about the floaters is that everyone likes them. One minute they will be laughing with the nerds and the next minute, they are laughing with the populars. Floaters are chameleons because wherever they go, they fit in. Usually the floaters tend to be the happiest in the high school. The teachers love them, the students love them, everyone loves them. They are usually genuine people who have good values. It is not rare for a floater to get caught up sometimes because they are people pleasers. All in all, the floaters are pretty chill
