Maunica responded well to the intervention. Maunica continues to make very good progress towards her goals and maintaining her mental health. Maunica stated, that using coping skills, like breathing techniques, counting from 1-10, journaling, walking away ,and asking for time out before the situation escalates. Maunica completed the worksheet. Maunica stated, that she used to lash out, when she got angry but now is utilizing coping skills to deal with upsetting situations.
When you ask your teacher for the work , they say it was up to you to get the work and you are too late for it. Your teacher then says to be prepared for the big test tomorrow. That’s when all your hope is lost. You get ready to go home and tell your parents to expect your grade to plummet because of the test. When you get home
If we’re failing a class, they don 't allow us to go ask for help after school, it will have to be in our own time. They expect us to be out in the field at a certain time knowing it takes us time to get stuff done and sometimes something gets in our way.
This time we worked with students trying to review the material they have learned. I only got one student due to the cross country team. His name is David (nickname). In the beginning, I was pretty surprised that David didn’t even start his worksheet.
Students were probably stressing and didn’t get enough rest. Students were stressing and second guessing. Everyone has stress in there life even adults, elderly people, even young kids. People have many problems they go through and have to over become. Students could be having problems at school with there grades, maybe being picked on at school, maybe even family problems at home for an example a family member passed away or your parents are getting divorced and which that is hard on the entire family espically there kids
These situations can become even more detrimental than my experience was. The worst case scenarios have students actively putting others down or trying to sabotage them in order to feel better about themselves and their own

She acted like we were just now writing lesson plans for clinical week. Really, she acted like we were in class for the very first time and we had never seen a lesson plan. She also acted like we had no idea of what goes into a lesson plan.

In the classroom there’s a list of words the students will learn throughout the year, every night they would get new words and at the end of the week, they would get quizzed on a set of words. The teacher has an annotation chart that has different things that students can do. For example, if the students have a question about their reading they can put question marks next to it and more. This helps the students understand the reading much better and this also helps the teacher know the students need help with. There were many students who wouldn’t listen and would just be laughing, getting up without asking and disrupted the class during the lesson they would lose their recess,
The class consists of main teacher, one co-teacher, and 20 students without any special needs or disabilities (14 girls 6 boys). The difference between the general classroom and the special education classroom that was the students very quiet and didn 't make a lot of noise like in the special education classroom. The classroom was very small for 22 students. I was surprised when I entered the general classroom. all the girls in the front and all the boys were back.
During both observation days there was no behavior problems. It was a well obtained class, and I am excited to continue participating in this classroom. One student during the classes library visit came up and gave me a big hug. He would not let go for the longest time. This class has a special place in my heart and I only been in there two times.
Some do not take their classes seriously, and they have a mindset that they are just there because they have to be there. (I do not know how to explain that better). But I think it’s very important that a student studies hard and he or she should not make excuses when they do not get their work turned in on time. There is a due date for a reason! We are in college, we should not be coming up with lame excuses and giving our professors hard times.
Since the goal for this class, was to finished presenting their work orally and visually, students were prompted to provide positive on constructive feedback, to follow the class agreements (rules) they created at the beginning of the year, and they only practiced for about seven minutes (pair and share).
