Students Are Just a Standardized Test Score
What if getting into college was not based on a state test score defining how good you did on it? Students all around are being defined as a person on how well they did on the SAT/ACT and how high their GPA was in high school. Standardized tests shouldn’t define you because maybe you are not a test taker, not everyone is good at academics, and maybe you were stressed out over these state tests because you know you would be defined on your test results.
A very common example in modern days, or in modern times, or nowadays is people are not good test takers. Students passed school barely. They just passed by working their hardest on assignments …show more content…

Not everyone is good with academics. There is more to live that ust academics there is sports, after school clubs, young adults could already have a job and have been working there entire high school career, summer clubs like 4-H. There is more than a person than just a number you got on a state test. Someone could be making a bunch of money and not have went to college it also could be possible that there friend went to college and they make less than the guy that didn’t go to college. Students were probably stressing and didn’t get enough rest. Students were stressing and second guessing. Everyone has stress in there life even adults, elderly people, even young kids. People have many problems they go through and have to over become. Students could be having problems at school with there grades, maybe being picked on at school, maybe even family problems at home for an example a family member passed away or your parents are getting divorced and which that is hard on the entire family espically there kids In order to get in college we should not be based off scores.
They take the scores because they don’t want to waste their time they could be getting money from other students and they probably think kids will drop out because they would be struggling and failing. We should not be just based off of standardized scores there is more than that to define us. They don’t look into anything else especially they don’t speak with any of the students former high school teachers, principal, and etc. People who stress out a lot, sucks at keeping grades up, sucks at taking test should not define you. They should look into if you had a job, were in groups like 4-H, and more before a test scores defines you
