History in the Roaring 1920’s as demonstrated by the novel “The Great Gatsby” was mostly about the defying of laws and trying to stay or get rich. A craze to have access to alcohol and throw parties while ignoring the suffering lower class. “The Great Gatsby” is a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The book takes place in the 1920’s, and is about a man named Nick Carraway who travels away from his already somewhat rich family to New York to start some more fruitful work. The novel shows different “American dreams” and point of views. Like Tom’s way of living, Jordan’s way of living and Daisy's perspective. A good example for one of the “American dreams” as mentioned before. He is a very important character to “The Great Gatsby” just by how much he shows one of the “American dreams” alone. Tom’s wife, Daisy, has another point of view worth mentioning which concerns the women of The Roaring 20’s. Daisy, who is Tom’s wife, has a unique point of view that is created by how women are treated during the Roaring 20’s.
