Most people when they think of MLM they relate it to a "get rich quick scheme," a pyramid, or "another one of those things". Before I made the decision to be in the MLM industry I did some research on the industry. I realized that it actually had a history. Some people I have talked to believe MLM is fad and not a legitimate business. I wanted to write this article for the public to gain awareness of the industry and its history. Even though MLM/network marketing is not a traditional business, but it is a business that can earn an individual limitless income with the same hard work and effort as the traditional business.

Network marketing is a multi billion dollar industry which allows the average person to start a legitimate business and earn a substantial income. There is an opportunity to start a business on a part time basis for a nominal start up fee and turning it into a full time business making the average person a millionaire. This industry has a long history which dates back to the 1800's. In those days they were called traveling salesman. They brought goods to customers who were unable to purchase from the local stores.
