No two-political people think alike. Political (people who think a lot about how people think), depending on the time they lived, will have an outlook almost the same as that of the time period. Views can compare or contrast, that which reflect on a (people who think a lot about how people think) view of the State of Nature, man, the Civil State and power of the sovereign. Two most important examples of differences verses (things that are almost the same as other things) in political (people who think a lot about how people think) is Thomas Hobbes and John Locke.

Since he thought that men were capable of making responsible choices, one could figure out that on the topic of smoking, Locke would say that smoking was a personal choice. However, he would probably also add that smoking should only happen in private since he believed that people could make their own choices and act upon them so long as they did not harm others. Since second hand smoke is known to be harmful, and because the non-smoker is not giving permission, Locke would have been against the idea of public smoking due to its bad affects on the rest of (community of people/all good people in the world). On the issue of having smoke-friendly or smoke-free establishments, Locke would probably leave it up to the property owner to decide since his explanations (of why things work or happen the way they do) show a strong support for the rights of the property owner, and because smoking in a privately owned space only affects those who choose to enter it. Also, it is important to say that Locke would say that the government should not make rules that deny the people the right of decision-making, which (blocking or stopping someone or something) smoking would
