This movie is a Hollywood movie, based on the Crusades. During this film the Christians were defending Jerusalem, which caused a war. The war ended up being a brutal battle between the Islam’s and the Christians. While this movie was very entertaining, Hollywood added a great amount of fiction features. They showed a different type of quality for this era. Some of the features were realistic, but other ones were not realistic at all. This movie was based on a true historical event that happened around 1187. The fight was a religious war that ended brutally. One of the main ideas in this story was the warfare and conflicts. See, back in 1187 they had no where as near as many weapons and defense tools as this movie portrayed. The Hollywood movie showed that the Christians had a more powerful and unique weaponry than they usually would have used. The Islamic people showed their defense by firing huge stone balls on fire.
