In the novel "Home Fire," Eamonn is a sweet kid whose views were based on his Home Secretary dad until they were not. His love relationship is vast and plentiful but only as memorable once he meets Aneeka. Aneeka comes from a family with a history of terrorism which their dad first started. She and her twin were raised by their older sister Isma with no father figure. This results in her twin, Parvaiz, searching for his long-lost terrorist father. Shamsie uses Eamonn's love relationship with Aneeka and his behavior towards his dad to show how an inner conscience can make people follow what they truly believe in and act against what they disagree with. Anneka comes from a line of terrorists who would give up their lives to fight for ISIS. One of the family members, Aneeka, longs for a relationship to get her twin brother out of Pakistan and into Britain. Aneeka hears about Eamonn, the Home Secretary's son, and goes after him. Aneeka and Eamonn get into a relationship that neither thought would work. This relationship then takes a sexual route, and they both realize that their bond with each other is unique. We see throughout the book that Eamonn and Aneeka are madly in love. An example is when it says, "He bowed his head and rested it against hers, a moment of love between them that made all obstacles surmountable, even the ones around her heart" (Shamsie 88). After they had been together for some time, They realized they were meant to be with each other. An example is when it says, "Soon he found himself almost incapable of thinking about anything but her" (Shamsie 92). In this article, protesters protesting against the anti-government were shot with lethal ammunition(McDonald, Tiefenthaler, Surdam). This news article shares similar characteristics to when Aneeka did everything she could to ensure she could see her dead brother. Aneeka did this to spread awareness about harsh government policies, even if that meant traveling to one of the most dangerous countries that ISIS inhabits. Anneka is a very loyal sibling, especially to her twin brother Parvaiz. When she heard the news of Parvaiz getting shot while trying to escape ISIS, she was immediately fueled with anger. Aneeka's rebellious personality results in her fighting for what she believes in. This is shown although our book, for example, as she flies straight to Pakistan to see her dead brother without thinking about the danger she could get
