“Public education is our greatest pathway to opportunity in America. So we need to invest in and strengthen our public universities today, and for generations to come” (Obama). Public school is a school that is free to the public and has many kids that attend. Public education is proven and has no cost, it has certain curriculums. Homeschooling is schooling at home that is usually taught by a parent, homeschooling usually has a cost. Although many kids get homeschooled the education isn’t proven. We don’t know if kids really do their work. Many people believe public schooling has negative consequences on children but it actually has positive effects because of proven education, social life, and free education. Children who attend public school have more opportunities for social interaction than many homeschooled students. There are homeschool co-ops that can be helpful, but public school has built-in social benefits. Being social isn’t always easy but the more you do it, the easier and better it gets. Confidence is a major key for a students social life. Socialism is taught very great in public schools, for example, if the teacher assigns a project or assignment to a group of kids the kids will need to be social with each other in order to complete the task, teachers assign things like this pretty often to help kids with socializing and to help with team working. Socialism can help your child with having friends in the future, studies show that friends can help reduce stress and can also help with challenging developmental experiences. Studies have shown that children who played frequently with active friends were far less likely to mention barriers for not exercising, such as low self-esteem, feeling self-conscious or lack of
