Hope of a Change for our Country Yazmin Ramirez America we see it as our home country but it’s more than that, it’s a place of hope for millions, who seek a better future for themselves and their family. Once a wise man said “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”. Martin Luther king Jr. recited this speech on August 28, 1963 in the hope of bringing equality to all. Because of his speech many who did not have a voice finally stood up to claim their right to be treated with respect, however we still face discrimination pertaining to racial, religious, gender, and sexual preference in our country, we are all humans are skin color or are gender should not influence the way were treated. I agree with Martin Luther king in that we can all live in harmony respecting on another, I hope that one day this will become true. …show more content…

Education is an important part in are life’s, education can defines who we become or the opportunity’s we may have at getting a good job. Education helps us learn from all those who once were hear before us, their contributions to America and the world, and how they helped make it the place it’s today from the American revolution to the creators of plus and minus signs, education can changes the view of how a person sees the world, at least in my experience, when I was little the town where I live didn’t have a meaning, in the years after I entered school I realized the amazing history that was hidden, in other words it made me realize that there’s history in every corner. Everyone should have the right to have an education, still many do not have an opportunity to finish their study’s this should change, and so in the future America can become number one in the world, with the highest percentage of college
