Do reality tv shows promote bad stereotypes? Buying a million dollar house for only 2 people, spending thousands of dollars at one store. Reality t.v is making kids and adults think that that is how life is. There are many reasons why they give bad influences. They twist and turn normal Things, they get paid to get surgery and put on pounds of makeup. And that is some reasons why. Reality tv does promote bad and unhealthy stereotypes. Renting out amusement parks for 5 people, Buying a thousand dollar dress you are only going to were once. That is is what reality tv does. Everyday things are twisted and turned in to extravagant things. Everywhere they go they have to have some drama, they have to get in a fight or they have to spread a rumor about someone. Most of the celebrities on these shows are on extreme diets, for example Khloe kardashian only eats fresh fish, almonds, fruit and vegetables. But, this can be a good thing to if you are trying to lose weight or get healthier. So, teens and even adults may think that this is how they should eat, even though it is not healthy at all. They fast just so they can fit in to dress so they don't want to get a size up. This make people think that this is how they should act, all “cool” and “rich”. …show more content…
They create drama just for more viewers and to make it more interesting. They get in fights in stores and restaurants, then try to be over dramatic about it. Or they will start a rumour about something or someone to make them embarrassed. Then they start to “turn” on each other and try to get everyone against 1 person. Then if kids are watching they may want to try to recreate this drama at school or home. They may think that that's how life is and sopus to be. People may think this is normal and this happens a lot in everyday situations. But they may also self-elect to create this drama
