The death of Juliet could have been prevented. How? By Friar Laurence, he could have stopped Romeo from wanting to marry Juliet. I mean, everyone in Verona knew about the feud between the Capulet’s and Montague’s. It was not that big a secret either. Friar Laurence is the cause of Juliet’s death. When she told the Friar she was planning on killing herself if she had to marry Paris, he could have at least tried to make her listen. Reason with her about what she was saying. With Romeo, the Friar could at least send someone who knew what Romeo looked like. During the movie, the messenger just passed by Romeo not knowing it was him. If Romeo got the letter, he would not have killed himself. If he had not died, Juliet would not end her life as well. The Friar is the middle of this situation. Many people do not think so, but well he is. Romeo would go to the Friar, tell him all about this girl he was crazy about. It was Roslyn at first. But, then poor fragile Romeo had his first heartbreak. He cried and cried sad about how his first love was not crazy about him. But then, he goes to the Capulet's party and meets Juliet. Daughter of the Capulet’s. And who did Romeo tell? The Friar. The Friar knew about Romeo being well in “love” with Juliet. But, he did nothing to warn him. He just let Romeo go around being “sneaky”. Letting him marry the daughter of his enemy. And what is crazy is the Friar was the one who married them, making them one. And killing them both. So much could have been done to prevent at least Juliet’s life. Like if the letter to Romeo got there on time, or if the two kids never got married, or even them falling in love. The Friar knew it was his fault. He ran away when he saw poor Romeo dead. Knowing he was the one who caused it. Knowing he could have prevented his death. But, the Friar did nothing.
