The infamous Al Capone who ruled an empire of crime which included: gambling, bootlegging, bribery, murder, robbery, narcotics trafficking, auto theft, kidnapping, and much more. Has finally been arrested. It had seemed he could dodge all law enforcement and was untouchable, but justice has proved him wrong. On May, 17th Capone and his bodyguard were arrested for carrying concealed weapons and shortly after were sentenced to terms of one year each.

Many know him as the American gangster or scarface. Al Capone rose in popularity for bootlegging during prohibition. After the 19th amendment was passed many criminals saw this as an opportunity to sell alcohol illegally since the demand was so high. Al Capone was one of many who participated in this. AL Capone was mostly known for his aggressive behavior and violent tactics such as setting stores on fire which refused to buy alcohol from him. Most people who came into contact with him feared what would happen if they didn’t comply with his every desire. What many don't know is how exactly how his empire was started.

It was said that, unlike Torrio, Capone started to develop a reputation as a drinker and an agitator which led to his first arrest after hitting a taxi while drunk. While boss, Capone did many things that started to spark his popularity. At the start of his leadership, the press would constantly follow his every move avidly and he surprisingly gained public sympathy with his generous personality. Some even considered him a sort of red-robin figure. Subsequently, Capone's name became linked to more violence and this popularity diminished.
