Rules that the government needs to implement in the future are that all leaders, whether they are presidents in a democracy or kings in monarchies, need to have a backup plan for who will be next in line. The Hellenistic monarchies that came out of the death of Alexander the Great were the Ptolemaic Kingdom, Seleucid Empire, Antigonid Kingdom, Attalid Kingdom, and finally the Kingdom of Epirus. It was not Alexander's mission to have more kingdoms emerge, but due to his death, more kingdoms emerged. Ancient Greece and the Macedonian kingdoms covered a very large amount of territory. The kingdoms had their own food, priorities, languages, ways of life, and struggles; however, when a random leader temporarily takes over, that new leader does not understand what those people want or how to manage them, and that led to many civil wars in this case. Although ancient Greece was very large, Alexander the Great understood the priorities of each of the regions. Alexander was a great leader and was big on uniting the territories that were under his control. He did this by encouraging and engaging in cultural exchanges through trade across the Empire. Ancient Greece was heavily influenced by sophisticated artwork and advances in the sciences. Alexander wanted all of his empire to be esteemed and did not want certain areas to be known as the slums.
