But Clara Barton did not stop there, she presented many speeches about women's suffrage and equal pay for women. Clara Barton most famous quote was, “I may sometimes be willing to teach for nothing but if paid at all, I shall never do a man’s work for less than a man’s pay.”(Clara Barton Missing Soldier Office Museum, Clara’s Quotes) This quote is significant because throughout Clara Barton’s life she prioritized women empowerment and the idea that a women can accomplish the same things as men can if not more. She herself was one of the biggest examples of this. Clara did many things in her lifetime but she touched many people’s hearts when she found over 22,000 missing soldiers bodies and then continued to give each and every one of them a proper burial. Clara Barton’s determination, tenacity, and single-mindedness was what made her become such a big name in American
