Greece's culture has been regarded as the birthplace of contemporary Western culture for thousands of years. There is where democratic government, jury trials, and legal equality first appeared.
The ancient Greeks had a significant impact on the Western world. The world now views art, math, architecture, philosophy, athletics, and drama in a different way thanks to the Greeks. The world now would not exist the same way without the ancient Greeks. The way we view philosophy has altered as a result of men like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

Athens was the birthplace of democracy, which was distinctive in that all citizens had the freedom to speak and vote in the assembly where laws and decisions were decided.
Democracy is a form of government in which supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation, usually involving periodic free elections.
The world's first democracy was founded by the ancient Greeks. Athens transitioned from a monarchy to an oligarchy before arriving at a democracy. 6,000 assembly members, all of whom were adult male citizens, participated in the democratic administration and cast votes on problems affecting Athens as a whole.
A majority of votes were required for a law to be approved. But all 6,000 votes were required to expel or banish someone.
Today, we operate in a democratic system. We do, however, have a representative democracy where citizens democratically choose who should make political decisions in place of a direct democracy. The use of columns and pediments for example, is a direct legacy from ancient Greece and is omnipresent in modern-day public buildings, such as parliament buildings, museums and even memorials.
Come to think of it, the use of architecture as an art form, more than a utilitarian science comes from ancient Greek culture and is visible in constructions like the Acropolis of Athens or the sanctuary of Delphi.
Standardized Medicine:
The Greeks were the first to develop a structured system of medicine that included diagnosis, prognosis, and medical ethics, but medicine was also practiced in Babylon, China, India, and Egypt.
In regards to diagnosis and occasionally treatment, modern medical practice is conducted in an approach that is quite similar to that of the ancient Greeks. Hippocrates, who is frequently referred to as the "father of medicine," was substantially responsible for implementing these historical medical achievements.

The Greeks had a significant impact on mathematics and science. Ancient Greek mathematicians like Pythagoras, Euclid, and Archimedes are responsible for the fundamental concepts of geometry and mathematical proofs that we still hold
