Ebbinghaus’s work significantly impacted the history of psychology. First, his research was turned into a monograph called On Memory: An Investigation in Experimental Psychology, which marked an important turning point in psychology. It was the first time that learning and memory was studied experimentally. Further, Ebbinghaus was the first to study learning and memory as they happened rather than after they occurred. Lastly, many of his inferences revolving around learning and memory are still lawful today and being expanded. Second, his journal titled Journal of Psychology and Physiology of the Sense Organs proved Wundt to be wrong in saying that it is not unfeasible for the higher mental processes be studied experimentally. Third, Ebbinghaus
