The British Treatment and the Colonial Resistance both played big roles leading up to the American Revolution. The British wanted to colonists under their control and the colonists wanted fairer treatment than they were getting. How were the colonists able to defeat the British in the American Revolution? There were several key factors contributing to the Patriot's victory over the British, such as war tactics, strong leadership and one solid alliance. Despite facing larger forces, better trained armies, and more weapons, the Colonists still managed to win. The overcoming of these obstacles is why the American Revolution stands out strongly in history. One of the main reasons for the Colonists' victory against the British was their spy network.
Additionally, the British would not have had to send as many troops as they did. In brief, the American Revolution changed both America and England - and for different reasons. Currently, despite these historical conflicts, England and the United States of America have a good
How were British victories important to the American Revolution? The American Revolution was the first battle of the United States against Britain. It occurred from many events such as The Boston Tea Party. When Americans were upset and were angered by King George III decisions, they protested violently in Massachusetts. Three months after the protest, the governor of Massachusetts, John Hancock proposed that the colonies should break free from Britain and the king (Fradin).
There was lots of change going on in England around the time of the French and Indian War. Before the war, all the English people and colonists got along fine without any big problems. After the war, however, England was in debt and needed to find a way to pay it off. They immediately decided to start taxing the colonists to make more money. This is what upset the colonists, as it appeared to be taxation without representation.
After the Treaty of Paris in 1763, following the French and Indian war, American colonists began to perceive the actions of the British as an interference to their rights. Great Britain had begun to impose taxes on common goods in colonial America and therefore ended salutary neglect, leaving the colonies to eventually uprise into the American Revolution during 1765 through 1783. Foremost, the American Revolution was mainly caused by social and political reasons to a significant extent, although some economic reasons added sparks to the revolutionary flames, because of the restrictive british imperial control, the colonial need for self-governance and the great influence of the Enlightenment Era. Great Britain was forced to tax the colonies

After all the taxes and limitations were placed onto the colonists, they were angry and wanted war, this is shown from the tarring and feathering of the British and the disregard of taxes and acts placed on them by the British, many of the colonists used propaganda to support the cause such as Thomas Paine’s book “Common Sense” or Paul Revere’s paining of the Boston Massacre, these were both used as effective propaganda to anger the colonists against the British, but if these were not created, the revolution would not have had as much strength, and might have died down, which would have avoided the war or if people had listened to the colonists that did not want war or loyalists that showed that there was a way to resolve the differences without violence, as shown in James Chalmer’s Pamphlet, “Plain Truth”. Another way the war could have been avoided is if the British had signed the Olive Branch Petition, as shown in the Second Continental Congress meeting, which would give the colonies independence from Britain and there would be no need for the war. However, this did not happen, the British declined the Olive Branch Petition and went to war with the colonies. These sources show that there was many ways other than actions that the Revolutionary War could have been avoided. To sum it all up, there was many ways that the Revolutionary War could have been avoided, such as the British not being unfair to the colonists, or the colonists not rebelling against the British.
