Starting in the 1400’s Europe society moved on after the Black Plague. This led to some dramatic changes in the way people thought about society , god , and the individual. The word Renaissance means “rebirth.” In this case , there was a rebirth of Greek and Roman philosophy , science, and medicine. For centuries , learning had been controlled by the church. During the Renaissance , people began to move away from this and focused on science and more education. During the Renaissance there was many changes in thinking. During the middle-ages everyone believed god determined their fate. People switched from putting faith in god and the church , to placing more importance in the value and potential of human beings.
