(I will be focusing on a capital of the Aztec civilization, their biggest city, Tenochtitlan.) While they were alive, the Aztecs had a very interesting and surprising climate and geography. The Aztec civilization actually changed the beautiful geography of their area by making more fertile land on a lake that they were living on. The area that they lived in was a good and popular place to live in that time. They used their land well, using all of the bountiful resources they had.

But the time when the Aztecs arrived was just about the same time or shortly after the fall of a Mesoamerican civilization, the Toltecs. The Aztec were a very powerful force in their time, and dominated the land with their allies. They teamed up with their allies to defeat their enemies and win their wars. The Aztecs came to rule over 5 to 6 million people. The Aztecs were very highly developed in many ways. They were highly developed socially, intellectually and artistically. They had kings, nobles, servants, slaves, and serfs, which are peasants.

Sadly, the fall of the Aztecs was very great. Their fall was determined by Hernan Cortes. He led an army with superior weapons and boats to Mexico and destroying them. A very big factor in their fall was that they had very many enemies. They had a lot of enemies because they demanded sacrifices, and a lot of people don't like human sacrifices. Even though the Aztecs drove Hernan Cortes out, he left behind something deadly. The Spaniards left behind small pox which killed thousands of the Aztecs and weakened most of them, which allowed Hernan Cortes to come and conquer the
