World War II, one of the world’s darkest times, is something that is often talked about, but not often fully understood; many would agree that the war itself is caused by Hitler’s thirst for world power, his hatred for the Jews and the loss of World War I, and the intervention of Russia during Hitler’s attack on France and Great Britain. While some of this is common knowledge, there are also many grey areas left in these three topics. A major reason Hitler is able to cause such a devastating war is because he is given power by the people, but it is not enough for him. Hitler is an Austrian born man who then chooses to defect to Germany to fight in World War I, instead of fighting in his own military. He finds himself rising in the ranks, and eventually he becomes Chancellor of Germany. He already is in a position of power directly after World War I. Next election, He has decided to run for President of Germany. The people agree with what he is saying, and they decided to vote him into presidency. The reason for this is because the Jews are Hitler’s scapegoat. They are the ones on who he can put the blame of major events. He blames them for the loss of World War I. He blames them for economic crises. He even goes so far as to blame them for all the evil in the world. By finding a group of people to blame such sensitive subjects on, he finds a way to gain the people’s support. Hitler’s weapon of choice for exterminating the Jews is mainly to put them in gas chambers, and pump in Zyklon-B. The reason that is his method of choice can be seen in World War I.
