To what extent did Hitler go to have a large support from German people?
In 1929 the Great Depression occurred. Immediately afterwards the Wall Street Crash caused a worldwide down fall in the economy. One of the many countries that were affected badly was Germany. The German people had put a lot of hope and faith that the government would help and resolve the economic crisis. During that the government was a democratic government. The president at the time was President Hindenburg. Unfortunately the government was not as successful at giving Germany a solution to the problem at hand. This is where Hitler took advantage o0f the situation. In 1933, Hitler was appointed as chancellor of Germany. The essay will be discussing methods used by Hitler to gain large support. Hitler talking about dealing with unemployment gave him an advantage to gaining support because it is exactly what the population of Germany wanted to hear. Hitler reduced unemployment by rebuilding a new and larger army and air force. This had created jobs for many Germans. Hitler went further to helping with the unemployment and uplifting of the economy. The Nazi government made a pledge to different parts of the Germany society.
