The SS was founded in 1925.
At the start of World War 2, the SS had more than 250,000 members and multiple subdivisions involved in activities all from intelligence operations to running Nazi concentration camps.
In 1921 Adolf Hitler became the leader of the organization called the National Socialist German workers Nazi party. Hitler blamed Jews and Marxists for Germany’s problems. Hitler started making speeches and doing is thing after the Great Depression. Everyone was so desperate because what was going on so they listened to Hitler and he was saying everything they wanted to hear and he was such a powerful speaker and knew how to persuade the people around him so everyone listened. Heinrich Himmer was a fervent anti-Semite like Hitler, he became the head of the Schutzstaffel in 1929.
He built the unit to become Hitler’s personal body guards he said that “only the best will do.”
He also was in charge to make sure that the cattle trains ran on time and that each camp was run on business lines so that they were paid for themselves and made profits.
For the man that was the cause of many deaths around the world, he fainted at the slightest sight of blood.
He committed suicide may 23rd 1945.
Julius Schreck was dedicated to Hitler and became the first commander of the SS.
He wore a fake mustache to match the one that Hitler had.
He was in charge to keep order at the indoor political meetings.
Schreck resigned at Reichfuher –ss in 1926 went to go work for Hitler.
In 1931 Schreck became Hitler’s personal chauffeur.
He died from meningitis on May 16th 1936.
