Although many Sahabas contributed a lot to Islam, Omar Ibn Khattab contributed the greatest considering the things he did to and for Islam. Omar Ibn Khattab was a very powerful and influential Sahabi. Other than being a consular to the prophet, he participated in many battles with him. After the death of Abu Bakr , Omar Ibn Khattab succeeded him to become the second Caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate. His reign expanded Islam to great heights. Omar Ibn Khattab's importance to Islam exceeds all of the other Sahabi's importance due to his military conquests which expanded Islam, establishment of a welfare state and implementation of many political reforms. Omar Ibn Khattab led Islam in many military conquests which resulted in many victories
