The Islamic empire was a dominant force for about 600 years, they were so dominant that even today we see many examples of their impact on the world now. They conquered territory which spread from Spain through east Asia. They faced many geographical barriers due to their unique location such as the terrain of the Arabian peninsula but they dealt with this adversity. The Islamic Empires' geographic extent, contributions and ideas in all fields, and influence on different regions led them to have a lasting impact on the world. Africa was heavily influenced by the Islamic Empire, in source H you can see the top half of the African continent is shaded green. This shows the spread of their religion which influenced the majority of Africa. Arabic became a dominant language among African scholars and merchants which helped them trade and communicate in the Islamic world. Islamic Architecture and art also spread to Africa as you can see in the similar patterns and styles that were unique to the Islamic empire, and spread to Africa. Regions in Europe were also influenced by the majority of Islamic ideas being spread through trade which helped spread ideas of the Islamic religion. Islamic literature and written work were also translated into Latin and spread across Europe. Warfare with some European empires also led to an exchange of ideas in mathematics and technology. Asian merchants also exchanged ideas of culture between Asia and the Islamic Empire, trade also ensured Islam was spread and it eventually became dominant in certain parts of Asia. Asian literature, as well as architecture, was heavily influenced by the Islamic Empire as seen in patterns in buildings and techniques in the literature. The spread of the Islamic empire across all these regions led to the incredible lasting spread of the Islamic
