Even though Imperialism led to slavery and other bad things, we benefited by getting a better healthcare, education, transportation, and lots more. Imperialism lead to exposure to other cultures, religions spreading, free resources for mother countries, languages spreading, and more workers that lead to a growing population. Imperialism influenced some of the religions in paces today. It also helped mother countries with getting new materials.
One thing that Imperialism influenced was exposure to other new cultures and more religions being spread. Religions spreading lead to more people having an opinion of what religion they wanted to believe in. There were more cultures that were being exposed. The mother countries benefited a lot from this. The mother countries needed resources to make more materials like textiles and food products. Some resources they might have taken is gold or oil from places like South Africa that are filled with those materials. This was very helpful and many people benefited. Some people might argue and say that natural resources were exploited. Without natural resources there may not have been as many textiles or food products, but other resources were used and helped more people.
Imperialism also lead to more workers working in factories and on farm lands. More workers lead to a growing population. The population was more supported. Lots of people benefited from this and made more money. Some people might argue and say people were taken advantage of, or slavery. A lot of people benefited from these languages spreading. Languages spreading meant it was easier for people in different countries or continents to communicate with each other. Languages spread in places like Asia, where today most people in Asia speak the same language. Some people might argue and say that other native languages were destroyed.
