Malcolm X Impact on America For the impact that Malcolm X made throughout history, Malcolm was a person that was looked up to. During Malcolm’s Childhood he was involved with family issues, crimes, drugs, and being in jail. After years of learning the hard way of life, Malcolm adopted the Black Muslim tradition. Because of Malcolm X speeches and involvement in protest and what he achieved, he was able to make a change in our world for white and black people. Malcolm’s childhood was a very hard start to Malcolm’s career. Malcolm's parents were part of the black church (Ritter). Malcolm was caught with various crimes such as drug robbery and other crimes. Malcolm leading from a ruff time with crime and drugs to the ways of black Muslim (lannone). This led Malcolm to a different style of life he was living; he then learned from living in the tradition why it is so wrong for a black person and white person to be together. His father was a Baptist minister at the church. Then Louise Little, his mother is mentally ill, Earl Little later dies in a car accident that was believed to be a murder (Ritter). Later after this tragedy, Malcolm went to the Nation of Islam where he founded the name Malcolm X. Doing this helped him get out of crime and become a better person (lannone). The Black Power Movement. It was a movement to strive for strength among black people. A black Olympic athlete raised their arm in the air after winning the race to show a sign of the black power and strength. The black power movement gave people a better opportunity for food and shelter. Malcolm had a saying of, “don’t let the no violence get to you cause the white supremacy will look down and this gave people the stronger will to fight back”.
