Malcolm X The man everyone learned about, Malcolm was born in 1925, May 15th. Before converting to Muslim, Malcolm lived with his parents, His father name was Earl Little, a Baptist preacher. Before his father died, and soon after, his mother lost custody of him and his siblings. Which caused Malcolm to become troublesome as a child. Malcolm’s father was murdered in what they called a racially motivated murder by the Ku Klux Klan, which was very strong back in the day. Malcolm was doing better in school than anyone would’ve thought. Malcolm wanted to be a lawyer but being faced with racism frustrated him and he reverted to being a criminal. Malcolm moved to Boston, where he became involved in drug dealing, gambling and other illegal activities. All his crimes led him to jail, which made his life different. In jail, he was told to do things differently. Which means while in jail, Malcolm took time to learn every word in the dictionary, Self educated himself, cut his hair, changed religions to better himself, as he sought for change in his life to do better for himself and his family. Once he was out of jail, he went to Elijah Muhammed where he became officially a part of the Islamic community. Malcolm showed that he can get things done without violence when he did that small march, he knew that if he gave the word that everyone could get violent but for everyone safety and didn’t.
