Native Americans lived their way of life on the Great Plains. They abided tribal law, traded and produced hand crafted tools and clothing. The Spanish introduced horses and guns to enhance mobility and hunting. Wars broke between tribes and truce came between them. Tribes shared news, traded food, and began harvest festivals.
Technology can be innovations and inventions that help to accomplish tasks easier. Some examples of technology are agricultural tools, modern computers, electric compartments, etc. In earlier civilizations, the invention of technology itself was a massive part in growing the population and preserving business ordeals like trade. The Han dynasty and the Roman empire both believed technology was essential to their civilizations, but Han China had a positive outlook on labor and its benefits compared to a lesser enthusiasm towards it in Rome. Both the Romans and the Hans admired technology and the people that created it.
The lives of the Plains Indians were heavily influenced by governmental action and technological innovations in the second half of the 19th century. As settlers moved to the Plains, conflict between the settlers and the Plains Indians arose. This, in turn, led to a lost of culture of the Plains Indians. Although new technology came to the West and the government enforced treaties, in the Plains Indians best interest, however, it actually was the very force that caused dissimulation within the Plains Indians’ community. Governmental actions such as setting up reservations and the Dawes Act worked in the new settlers best interest.
In the Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican time period in history, there were many groups of Native Americans that had diverse cultures and societies. The technological and intellectual advancements in these societies, depended on where they were located in Mesoamerica. The Native Americans discovered many things that could help them live an advanced and satisfying life. Each tribe had different necessities and objects that they needed in order to survive. The Native American cultures in these areas had various developments that the different European cultures could use to make themselves more powerful and become strong enough to annihilate many of the Native American cultures.
The Plain Indians rely on the government the government changed the way they lived from farming to hunting and a lot of them because more distinct from their community which brought individualism between the Plain Indians. The government actions towards the Plains Indians were conniving on how they brought about their mistreatment on them. The government worked hard in the 1800’s to eliminate the life of the Plains Indians. Their action was done openly and unashamedly, but some were done quietly and strategically. The government did a clever thing by starting treaties making the Plains Indians think that it was friendly, but actually it was an attempt to eliminate them and bring in the white settlers.
