Oprah Winfrey has done countless amazing things to change the world and individuals lives, especially for woman and people of color. Several titles are used to describe Oprah including, greatest most generous philanthropist of the 21st century, the most powerful woman in America or the World, the richest self-made woman in America, the most admired and influential woman in America, along with being on practically every list of leading opinion-makers. She is looked highly upon in a great deal of people’s eyes. Using her wealth, she has donated millions to various charities, primarily to her personal network the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, making her one of the most charitable celebrities. The goal of the academy was to help young girls gain an education, overcome a variety of struggles, allow these girls the possibility to achieve their full potential, and to give these girls an opportunity that they would otherwise not have. This academy has been essential to transforming these girls into powerful leaders. Oprah has helped empower numerous women around the world. While hosting her show, one day she decided to come out about her sexual abuse that occurred during her youth and stated that before adulthood she scared to say the word no. By saying the word no, she was worried that it would make someone mad or hurt their feelings, which in the end caused her to be victimized as a child. Over the years, she has learned that it’s impossible to please everyone, so you must just follow your heart and stop worrying what other people think or say. Her statement has influenced so a multitude of women to stand up and say No or solely to live their life the way they want to live it. Oprah Winfrey continues to stand up to the title as one of the most influential woman in the world and she continues to astonish
