Sally and Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, both have similarities and differences when it comes to their motivation to take action when faced with uncertainty. Percy uses his quick reflexes to conquer what he was feeling. On the contrary, Sally uses a caring personality to deal with uncertainty. Sally and Percy both put what is important to them first.

In the '' Lightning Thief''' by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson and his two friends Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood went on a quest with him, helping Percy to find the stolen lightning bold, and to retrieve Zeus lighting bold. Lightning Thief novel and film are fantasy and Greek mythology. Because Percy Jackson went on a quest to prevent a war against the gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The novel and the film has many similarities, but there are so many differences that set the two apart. There are many similarities between the novel ''Lightning Thief '' and the film.
In the book, The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson shows great acts of perseverance. A coincidence is that Percy is short for the Greek hero Perseus. Perseus went out of the Underworld, killed the Hydra, and impressed his father. Percy Jackson is probably the most persevere character I've ever read about. He was persevere during his camp game of capture the flag.
In chapter 9 of Lightning Thief, Percy goes on a quest because Poseidon and Zeus are fighting. Zeus thinks Poseidon stole Zeus's Lightning Bolt. Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.
Percy is very strong emotionally and he always makes sure that his friends and family are safe. When Grover was captured and sent to Polyphemus, Percy knew that he had to go and save him as well as retrieve the golden fleece so he could save everyone at camp. Percy Jackson is a movie that is based on all the gods and goddesses from Greek Myths. The only thing is Percy Jackson is that it is different then some myths and the rest is just made up. This entire movie was based on all kinds of myths mixed together in one movie. There is some differences that were changed from the myth but also shared some similarities. The techniques unique to each medium were successful by Persephone always living in the underworld, Hades and his type of rock style, and Medusa turning people into stone.
The book, Percy Jackson: The Battle Of The Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan is an amazing book about a group of demigods (half human half god) that have to save their camp from being destroyed by the evil forces of Kronos. Kronos is a titan that the gods banished to the deepest part of the underworld (Tartarus) after a war against them. Now that the titans are rising once again, the protagonists must travel through an ancient Labyrinth to stop them from demolishing their camp and temporarily halt them from achieving their goal of destroying Mount Olympus and the gods. This literary analysis will show the interesting relationships between some of the characters, and how the setting that they were in affected them throughout their journey.

An epic hero is a brave and noble character in an epic poem or a movie. Some epic heroes include: Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson movie series), Odysseus (Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey), Shrek, Harry Potter (Harry Potter movie series), Aragorn (Lord Of The Rings), and many more. Some similar traits between these two characters is that they are both brave and believe in the people helping them through their conquests.
Throughout “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan, the main character Percy Jackson grows in many ways. Through application of Joseph Campbell’s Hero Cycle, Percy’s development as a leader over the course of “The Lightning Thief” can be analyzed (Campbell). Percy is born into the hero’s cycle at his natural birth and his call to adventure is the attack by Mrs. Dodds. Percy crosses the threshold, when he leaves Montauk with his mother and Grover and the first trial testing his leadership is on the bus with the furies. Trials exemplifying Percy’s growth include: the furies, Medusa, the Saint Louis Arch, the “Waterland” Waterpark, the Lotus Hotel, Crusty’s Waterbed Palace, and Hades and the Underworld.
Not being a fan of reading, it was difficult thinking of a Myth. After thinking about some of my favorite movies, I finally figured out that Percy is Perseus in the Myth Perseus and Medusa. This lead me to look up more information about this Myth. I found this website that gave me a list of different Myth and legends. I was able to read, watch, and listen to the Myth.
The hero archetypes that the two stories would share is the ‘Prodigy’ -- the hero theme being the ‘Underdog’ -- and lastly for the plot type being the ‘Quest’. To start, the hero archetypes in the movie -- and the original story would be both the ‘Misfit’ and the ‘Prodigy’. In the movie “Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief”, the main character Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon -- had things such as ADHD and dyslexia, and in camp Half-Blood Annabeth and many other of the people in the camp had their doubts about Percy, especially of the idea about Percy defeating Hades. (Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief) In the story “Danaus, Perseus, and The Gorgon” -- when Perseus’ mother Danae is taken ‘hostage’ by the evil king of the island that they were sent to, Perseus is sent on a quest in order to kill Medusa.
