Ancient Greece was a huge influence in the mold of Roman. The Architecture, literature, art, drama, and poetry were just some of what was influenced by the Ancient Greece. In 146 BCE Greece became a province of Rome which in turn, made Greek items fashionable and highly sought after. When the Romans conquered Greece, they admired their knowledge and culture so they kept some of the Greek slaves and used them as tutors. The Roman religion was much like the Greek mythology. There were many Gods and the gods lived in Mt. Olympus just as Greek mythology. The Romans imported the Greek gods and changed the names of the gods, however the myths stayed the same. The Romans used much of the Greeks architectural ways while building Rome. Even to this day there are plenty of examples of modern day buildings built with Greek influences. The architecture of Roman somewhat mirrors Ancient Greece through its architecture. The Greeks were amazing builders but Romans could take the Greek influence and build even more with their knowledge and skills. As the Greeks the Romans built extravagant temples for the gods.
