In ancient Rome, urine was used in some interesting ways. Some being that men would urinate in public urinals then proceed to use the urine to wash their clothes and even used it to brush their teeth! The Romans had adopted some of the Greek ways such as trade, banking, art, literature, philosophy, earth science, and also took some of their Greek gods; putting a spin on them and making them their own by giving them traditional Roman gods' names. Although Greece made an influence on Rome, Rome had the greatest influence on western civilization because of the impact they made with the spread of Christianity, their great achievements and advancements in technology and architecture, and their legal system.

Rome is revolutionary in its political ideals, with them being the most efficient in creating a well balanced and successful government during their time. The government in the Roman Republic was split into three main parts; the senate, magistrates, and assemblies, much like it is in the west with their government being split into the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Rome created a legal system to protect the rights of all citizens which has influenced the US government to create the bill of rights that is therefore used to state the rights of citizens protected by the government.
Both Greece and Rome have made an impact on societies around the world. Rome’s impact on the western civilization with the spread of Christianity, their great achievements and advancements in technology and architecture, and their legal system have played a major role in shaping the civilization that it is today. Society has learned a lot from Greece and Rome and they continue to learn more as the years go on.
