The 40th president of the United States and one of the best presidents that’s taken stand. Ronald Reagan born on February 6, 1911, in Tampico, Illinois. His mother, Nelle Wilson Reagan and his father Jack Reagan. He was the second son of the family. His father always called him “Dutch” because he thought he looked like a dutchman. His father was a shoe salesman. The household never had much money. The family moved around a lot. When he was nine years old he moved to Dixon, Illinois and he attended Dixon High School and that’s where he grew into adult hood and graduated from. Reagan had a huge impact on the Soviet Empire. The Soviet Union caused it upon themselves. The Americans always felt threaten by them after it fell it was victory for the Americans. Ronald Reagan helped them out a lot to end communism. Reagan saw the evil in the Soviet Union he was afraid of their weapons and the massive nuclear bombs they have. He established the “Star Wars” which caused the Soviet Union to spend more on arms. The Soviet Union was rising against the United States. They spent outrageous money on army resources. This helped Reagan become better in his presidency. On October 11, 1986 during a four-decade Cold War. President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev met during a two-day summit. He stood against Mikhail Gorbachev. This caused the Soviet Union to give in and reduce their nuclear arms. The economy was in a massive disaster during the cold war because of the cost of arms.
