Many, many years ago in Ancient Greece, there lived these Greeks. Not just any ordinary Greeks there lived gods, Greek gods. They all are different and have names such as Hades, Poseidon, Medusa, and Zeus. They were worshiped by the people of Greece and lived on Mount Olympus. And were worshiped by the people of Greece. They were big and strong, some sculpted and chiseled to perfection, some normal-sized. Zeus, ruler of all gods and goddesses, controlled lighting, lightning that could be heard from miles. But why was the god's impact on the Greeks so significant? What part of the gods affected the people of Greece’s behavior or how they acted and saw things? The Greeks were very valued in how they saw life from the Greeks. Since The Greeks believed the gods controlled every part of their lives. States this “The Greeks believed in gods and goddesses who, they thought, had control over every part of people's lives” (Greek mythology and gods). The Greeks took every step and every breath knowing the gods were in control. And they moved safely without making them mad. The Greeks didn't want the gods to punish them so they listened and let the gods take the wheel. The Greeks were very dependent on the way they lived. For instance “The Greeks believed that their gods, who were immortal, controlled all aspects of nature. So the Greeks acknowledged that their lives were completely dependent on the goodwill of the gods” (A introduction to Greek mythology). The Greeks who were immortal had control over many aspects of the ancient Greeks' nature. But those who were mortal were just normal people who worshiped the Greek gods and listened and took notes of what to do in life. But what if the Greeks were clueless about what to do in the situation they were in? Well, for instance, “They went to oracles to find out about the future and advice about what to do” (KNILT). If the ancient Greeks were stuck they would go to oracles to find wisdom for the future. Or for any questions, they would have about their everyday activities. The ancient Greek gods impacted how these small non powerful mortals saw life. They looked up to them from when they were in their darkest times to their more confused times. The Greeks accepted that the gods controlled them because if anything the Greek gods helped the Greeks in a lot of everyday activities they did.
