The period between 1915 and 1935 brought upon many great authors. Those such as William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Willa Cather, which all were modernist authors. They reflected their work over this time period along with bringing forth many great stories. The most notable author of this time period would be F. Scott Fitzgerald. He wrote “The Great Gatsby” a story well known from that era.
The story “The Great Gatsby” setting takes place during the early 1900’s in New York City. Within the story its related real world issues with characters. Also giving the reader a form of connection to the story itself. It reflected the ideas, people had during the years1915-1935 along with different glimpses of life from the characters in the story.
