The Bombing of Hiroshima is a major and important historical event in world war 2, that changed the course of history and forced an end to the war. The bombing was on the 6th of August 1945 in Hiroshima, Japan. The bomb named “little boy” was dropped by the United States Air Force overtop of one of the highest populated areas in Japan at the time. This Uranium bomb caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and devastation to the Japanese people. This essay is going into depth about the causes and consequences of this significant historical event. At the time of the bombing, Germany and Italy had already surrendered, Hitler had committed suicide and the world was watching to see what Japan or the United States next move was going to be. The bombing of Pearl Harbour was on the 7th of December 1945. The bombing endured a series of aerial attacks from the Imperial Japanese navy air service against the United States main Pacific naval base in Pearl Harbour. The reason the Pearl Harbour bombing is to remain a cause of the Hiroshima bombing is due to the United States government wanting revenge for the American citizens that died, and also the loss of their battleships.
