The Industrial Revolution was the most influential unit we have learned as it changed us socially, politically, and economically. This is due to the change in living and social conditions, politically as it drew alliances, and economically with factories. This is shown by the McGraw Hill Notebook. When people moved into towns for jobs, world leaders traded with people all over, and factories were built. The economics have brought a major shift in workers from farms to factories. This is demonstrated in the text of the McGraw Hill Notebook, when urbanization occurred, causing people to look for jobs in factories and the low pay made people have their kids work. This is important as it demonstrates the shift in how people in the economy functioned as people who were used to working on the farms had to switch to a more dangerous labor like working with heavy machinery. Therefore, the Industrial Revolution changed the world economically as it made people switch jobs and move into big cities to work in factories for low pay. World War One had a bigger impact on the world economically as the events led to the Great Depression which impacted the world in a way that ruined many countries' economies and led to countries having money problems. This argument is invalid as without the positive effects of the factories many countries wouldnt be in power as they rely on the ability to mass produce goods and sell/ trade them
