In September of 1620, a ship called the Mayflower started its voyage from England, with 102 passengers, that were looking for new homes. The voyage lasted 66 days, they arrived near the tip of Cape Cod, then they made their way towards Massachusetts and then they crossed it . The Pilgrims started working on establishing a village at Plymouth. During winter they mostly stayed on the ship because there were contagious diseases spreading. When it was the spring time, an indian came to them with a Native american, Squanto. He taught the Pilgrims them how to cultivate corn, extract sap from maple trees, catch fish from the river and to avoid poisonous plants. Squanto helped settlers forge an alliance with the Wampanoag. In November of 1621 the
