Rome was a city which grew from settlements around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of traffic and trade. This city or village of Rome was likely founded sometime in the 8th century BC, by members of Latin tribe of Italy, on the top of Palatine Hill. However historians told us with precision how they published the date of Rome’s foundation. Rome had been founded in 753 BCE and that the republic had begun in 509 BCE, following the overthrow of Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, the last of Rome’s seven kings. Nevertheless, the historians in our era believed that Rome had founded in the year of 625 BC. At the outset Rome had govern by the kings, and after some of them about 7 were ruled their own cities. Then they came under control of the council known as “the senate” who ruled over them. In fact on one speaks of the “Roman Republic”.
