The Romans adopted many ways of the Greeks. Some of these include religion, government, literature, art, and architecture. For example, the Greek gods and myths remained the same, but were given different names under the Roman religion. One of the most common examples of the Romans borrowing from Ancient Greek civilization is democracy. The concept of democracy was first introduced and established during Greece’s Golden Age. The Romans took this concept, expanded it and re-interpreted it, and then used it as their own. When it came to art, many of the Romans' art forms also greatly resembled those of the Greeks.
