Africa is a very diverse country. It includes many different cultures and languages. The Sahara Desert in Africa, was not always a desert. The Sahara was full of life and water, there were fish to eat and animals to hunt, but as the weather changed it turn the Sahara into a desert. Agriculture was there main source of nutrients in Africa, as was many countries when they first came about. The first know human evolved in Africa. Today, in Africa citizens live poor lives, some countries are even surviving on two quarters a day. Many countries like the United States try to help by not taxing them as harshly, but it does not seem to be working. For example, Egypt is the wealthiest country in Africa. Egypt has a gross domestic production of $187.9 billion a year. Cultivation of the land boosts Egypt’s economy, they rely on crops such as, grains, vegetables, fruit, etc. Egypt has modernized, they make many different objects, such as clothes, beer, baked goods, etc. Some of their wealth also comes from mining, which materials are used to make tools. Social class in Egypt are similar to United States social class. They have an upper social class, a middle social class, and a lower social class. A person’s social class is determined by your family than how much money you receive, which makes it difficult to move social classes. This is a problem, because many people miss out on opportunities to better themselves or their family. The political system in Egypt has three branches, the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch. Similarly, to the United States the executive branch involves the president. The legislative branch contains the parliament that consists of the people’s assembly, and they approve laws, budget, plans of government, etc. The judicial branch operates on the English common law.
