From 1914 to 1918, a war that was only thought to be a few weeks or months, turned into an ongoing war. The war ended with over 16 million deaths and caused mass destruction. This war was also ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, to hopefully mark World War I as the end of all wars.
