After World War 1, the effects on people were tremendous. It has affected the people’s minds and hearts physically and mentally. A things lot of our culture and society has changed today because of it. Many people may not know why we do the things we do was because of the Great War. Caused by a group of people that we might see as today funny and out of context, but these are actual historical events that takes a big part in our lives. As I go through the events, see how you can realize that the stuff you do, act, talk, where, and think all is effected by this great event.

World War one and its background can be identified in many of different ways and some very detailed into what actually happened. The nations that was involved in this big war was a triple entente with the UK, France, and Russia with the US added, there leader. And they were going up against Germany there leader, Austria-Hungary, Italy, and the Ottoman Empire. (Gorsky) With the US winning this battle, also affected our way of life now in the modern days. The Schlieffen Plan was to knock out France and focus on Russia, pass through Belgium and enter into war. (Gorsky) There was also a change in the Russian revolution which started the Paris Peace Conference, League of Nations, and the Versailles Treaty. All of that lead up to Woodrow Wilsons 14 points to achieve peace after the war. There was also the Selective Service Act which is to draft men for war.
