There are many points of view as to why WWII was fought, but it ultimately goes back to the end of World War I, and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Adolf Hitler slowly rebuilt German forces and, driven by his expansionist policy, first invaded Czechoslovakia in March 1939 and then Poland on 1 September 1939 prompting the declaration of War from Britain and France. My understanding of World War II has changed greatly, I have come to learn that we were not as innocent as we say we were. We were biased in many ways, we indirectly invoked our involvement in the war. We studied World War I, and at the time, I thought that the espionage act was unconstitutional. I now think that is was a necessary evil after seeing the separation on the home front. In World War II we were more united and separated than ever before.

He uses multiple rhetorical devices to make his speech sound more educated as well as get the point across with emotion to the audience. He used different types of diction to make the point that the negro is free and they never will be if we keep segregating towns and schools. Martin Luther King brought attention to that fact that the negro isn’t free because he is still segregated from going into places or working places.
